RBAF completes Temburong mosque upgrades

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) completed a charity project under Titian Amal Project recently. The project was to construct a new funeral room for Kampong Piasau-Piasau Mosque in Temburong District. The project was conducted to commemorate RBAF’s 58th anniversary.

Commander of the RBAF Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud presented the certificate of project completion to Acting Temburong District Officer Abdul Ghani bin Haji Othman during a ceremony yesterday.

The works carried out on Kampong Piasau-Piasau Mosque involved the construction of a room for cleansing and funeral rites prior to burial. It included building a new entrance, installation of new roofing, lights and tiles for the floor and repainting works.

With the newly built funeral room, the local community will be able to perform cleansing and conduct funeral rites in improved and updated facilities.

The construction project which began on October 7 was led by the Combat Engineer Squadron, Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF).

Similar projects have been undertaken under Titian Amal Project to encourage a culture of giving, and to strengthen communities and the nation.
