Over 30 youth participated in the Belia Proaktif 2.0 programme (BePro 2.0) at the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong on December 8.
The programme is a continuation of the first BePro conducted by the Syababul Iman Youth Group under the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque last May.
The BePro 2.0 programme comprised a motivational session and a skills-enhancing session, of which the latter focussed on skills in answering interview questions.
The programme is aimed to instil determination and perseverance in the search of employment; implement the belief that the source of sustenance comes from Allah the Almighty, which stresses the need to inculcate positive thinking; and provide participants the skills needed in answering interview questions.
The programme started with the forum entitled Jangan Give Up Bossku by Executive Chariman of the Brunei Youth Council Nur Izzatul Izzah binti Haji Abdul Rahman and owner of Warung Kuetiaw Abam Kitchen Mohd Fadillah bin Haji Abu Bakar. Dayangku Nur Amrina binti Pengiran Abdul Aziz was the moderator.
The forum highlighted the importance to possess the willingness to improve oneself and courage to step out of the comfort zone in searching for initiatives towards enhancing the potential and knowledge and being grateful and seeking for the blessings of one’s parents.
The event continued with a briefing by representatives from JobCentre Brunei Mohammad Asyraf bin Haji Arine and Mohammad Fadzli bin Haji Abdul Razak.
The briefing, entitled ‘Interview Skills: Get that Job!’, highlighted the types of frequently asked questions in interviews and tips in answering the interview questions.
The participants also underwent practical interviews conducted by the Syababul Iman Youth Group committee members.
