Night of celebration at 7th Prelude Pelangi Awards

Radio Television Brunei (RTB) organised the 7th Prelude Pelangi Awards at RTB in the capital recently.

The programme announced the 7th Pelangi Award’s Top 5, following the casting of votes between September 16 – October 6.

The night programme saw several performances by local artistes including Milin, Hans Anwar, Maria, Seniman Jalanan, Qeez Idurs, Namo, Juan Madial, Raudhah, Aznniel Yunus, Azim Ariffin, Daud and Nadhirah.

RTB Director Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, RTB officials and family members attended the event.

There categories were: New Artiste Choice, Male Vocal Choice, Female Vocal Choice, Duo/Group Vocal, Song Choice, Inspirational Song Choice and Music Video Choice.

The top five results for each category are as follows:

New Artiste Choice – Kip Hafizuddin, Azim Arifin, Ikhlas, Syafiqah Rosli and Zed Peace;

Male Vocal Choice – Aziz Harun, Fakhrul Razi, Dayat Ahim, Zul F and Rapul Rezal;

Female Vocal Choice – Ezah Hashim, Maria, Putri Norizah, Dila Junaidi and Suzan Maidin

Duo/Group Vocal – A Band Once, Titanz, Seniman Jalanan, Dinshe and Alilah & Irfan

Song Choice – Tertulis by Ezah Hashim, Bidadari Dunia by Kip Hafizuddin ft Melvin Weii, Sendiri by Dayat Ahim, Berharap by Taswim Rozan & Isyraf Yusri and Mungkir by Rapul Rezal

Inspirational Song Choice – Waktu by Abdus Salam, Diam by Ikhlas, Syurgaku by Alilah & Irfan, Tasbih Cinta by Amar Sai, Semberono by uan MAdial, Aznniel Yunus, Indra & Afiq Wafi

Music Video Choice – Berharap by Taswim Rozan & Isyraf Yusri, Lelah by Nazmo ft Ayesha, Kampong Boy by Zed Peace, Rasa Ini Cinta by Dila Junaidi, and Rela by Sueib Suhaimi.

The Pelangi Awards acknow-ledges local artistes who are active in the music scene. The awards ceremony is conducted once every two years to enable artistes to produce quality and international standard creations.

The awards are also intended to serve as a catalyst to spark creativity and have artistes step into their artistic thinking, as well as to encourage healthy competition to boost the entertainment industry.
