The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) has made the initiative to enhance the management of competition through the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Competition Management System Training Workshop at the BMCC Building of IGS College in Kiulap.

The two-day course provided an understanding and carried out training to participants concerning the functions and the use of AFC’s Competition Management System, which has long been introduced to the affiliates of AFC and AFF.

Besides that, the workshop aimed to upgrade the league particularly in the management in all aspects of the competition which is being conducted. This initiative is in line with the strategy and the desire of NFABD in modernising the existing process effectively and systemically.

Plans are also in place to use the system on what they have learnt from the workshop in the next instalment of the Super League season.

The AFC has partnered with Genius Sports, a global leader in sports technology, to drive this transformation project. Genius Sports is the partner to over 500 sports organisations worldwide, including the English Premier League and the Bundesliga.

More than 40 participants comprising representatives from district associations and local clubs from the Super League as well as members from NFABD attended the workshop.

The course conducted by JC Zhang of Genius Sports, will also be extended to all four districts.
