89 Street Poolhouse, a joint business partnership between Kenny Tchung and Md Amirul Mukminin, officially opened its door to the public with a grand opening ceremony at its premise in Shakirin Complex, Kiulap yesterday.

The opening was marked with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the unveiling of its business logo.

Kenny Tchung said that 89 Street is the first pool house in Brunei with product and equipment specially customised for 89 Street, using CPBA Competition Certified Equipment.

“We opened the entertainment place to offer sport games and added value of service to our customers,” said Kenny.

89 Street is a one-stop entertainment store where customers can enjoy and relax in a comfortable and fun atmosphere with specially brewed coffee and delicacies at the cafe corner, he added.

The cafe also offers western food, as well as local food such as satay and ayam salai. The staff, who are 100 per cent locals, are well-trained.

89 Street Poolhouse has eight pools, three of which are displayed at the first floor where the café is stationed, offering standard price with great facilities.

“We hope 89 Street will be a venue for pool enthusiasts and a welcoming area for those who seek entertainment,” Kenny added.

The event also saw guests, who included a professional pool player from Miri, participating in a pool game.
