A total of 19 students and 12 teachers of Belait Arabic School participated in the Hour of Code Programme, held in conjunction with the Computer Science Week yesterday.

Headmistress of the school Hajah Noramalina binti Haji Mohd Ali said the school was one of seven educational institutions in the country to register for the programme in the nation to learn more about the basics of coding through fun and interactive games.

She hoped the participants will be inspired to continue expand their knowledge on coding and computer science, and encourage others to equip themselves from the challenges faced in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Participants were introduced to the basics on coding by Nazurah binti Abdullah, facilitator of the programme. They also participated in a series of puzzle games themed ‘Star Wars’ through the use of block-coding.

The programme concluded with the certificates presentation by the headmistress.
