The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) attended the 10th Meeting of Presidents for the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) on November 30, at Dragon Royal Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar and Assistant Lecturer at the Core Knowledge Centre of KUPU SB Nazirul Mubin bin Haji Ahad represented KUPU SB.
Discussions during the meeting included ‘ASEAN teacher Education Quality Assurance Agency’, application of Mongolia National University of Education to become a member, proposal for AsTEN teaching Award for 2020 and AsTEN Journal of Teacher Education, as well as activities for the year 2020.
Dr Haji Adanan invited AsTEN member universities to hold a short-term student mobility programme for KUPU SB to gain educational experiences in Brunei Darussalam.
Heads of institutions and representatives from the National Institute of Education, Singapore; Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI); Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia; Yangon University of Education, Myanmar; Philippine Normal University, the Philippines; Kasetsart University, Thailand; and University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam were present.
