The case of a local man, detained by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in connection with vandalising five vehicles in the Kiulap commercial area, was recently brought again before the Magistrate’s Court.

Magistrate Kamaliah Fadhilah binti Haji Ibrahim ruled, referring to the Mental Health Unit report, that Muhammad Izzat bin Haji Said, 34, was fit to stand trial and was of sound mind at the time of the alleged commission of offences.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Raihan Nabilah binti Haji Ahmad Ghazali pressed a final set of charges against the defendant, to which he denied all eight counts of assault and causing damage to property.

The court adjourned the case to December 19, for the trial dates to be fixed.
