Joint operations nab offenders

Two joint operations by personnel from the Tutong Police District of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCEF) held on Saturday recorded several offences including immigration and customs violations. During the operations at a foreign workers’ quarters in the Chempaka Complex area and a barracks residence in the Kampong Sengkarai, Tutong, two foreigners and one permanent resident were found possessing two packs of undeclared cigarettes.

Among the objectives of the joint operations were to ensure the public comply with the regulations while at the same time to advise the public not to commit any offences.

The continuous operations by the law enforcement agencies aim to combat criminal activities.
