A joint operation by the Royal Brunei Police Force and other law enforcement agencies late last Friday night in Brunei-Muara and Temburong districts recorded several offences including immigration and customs violations.
Some 30 personnel from the Brunei-Muara Police District with the Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD), Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and Religious Enforcement Unit conducted the raid at a foreign workers quarters in Kampong Kasat, where five Bangladeshis were found to have no valid travel documents in their possession and also one Bangladeshi in possession of two packs of undeclared cigarettes.
The joint operation in Brunei-Muara District was led by Criminal Investigation Officer of Brunei-Muara Police District ASP Muhammad Nurfairuz Nazri bin Salleh.
Meanwhile in Temburong District, four locations were covered in the operation that saw the involvement of 64 enforcement personnel from the Temburong Police District, INRD, RCED, Religious Enforcement Unit, Internal Security Department and the Halal Food Control Division.
During the Temburong District joint operation led by ASP Pengiran Anak Azanuddin Aman Shah bin Pengiran Anak Ismail Al-Haj, the RCED made five arrests for undeclared cigarette offences.
