Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) received a visit from the Pattani Regional Islamic Religious Council, Southern Thailand, led by its President Dr Haji Abdul Rahman bin Daud (Dr Waedueramae Mamingchi).
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal pointed out that UNISSA has seen a positive growth in the number of Thai students – with 42 undergraduates and postgraduate students.
UNISSA will continue to support the community of Southern Thailand interested in pursuing higher education at UNISSA, he added.
The 58-member delegation of Master Teachers discussed the coordination of collaborative programmes to support the progress of Thai students at UNISSA. Systematic education is a requirement for South Thai students to pursue a higher education to develop local communities.
Acting Deputy Rector Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad, faculty deans and UNISSA centre directors also attended.
