Four Vietnamese citizens arrested in joint enforcement operation

Four Vietnamese citizens were detained in a joint enforcement operation on December 5, for suspected involvement in vice-related activities, said the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in a statement.

The raid was conducted at 5pm, on several rented rooms and lodgings in Bandar Seri Begawan by officers from the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suprpression Unit and the House Break-In and Car Theft Investigation Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The female suspects are Tran My Hang, 30, who has been in the country since November 28; and Ha Thanh Huyen, 18, who has been in Brunei on a visit pass since November 15. The male suspects are Nguyen Van Dat, 22, and Nguyen Ngoc Thao, 24.

Items found during the raid, such as condoms, lubricant gel and cash, were impounded as evidence by the police.
