A representative of the Brunei-Muara District Football Association Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Ibrahim urged local football clubs that have not succeeded in acquiring national club licensing this year to acquire the licence next year.
“Subsidy is given to those who’ve acquired such licensing,” he said at the Football Clubs Licensing Education seminar at Wafa Hotel in Gadong yesterday.
Haji Abdul Razak said the seminar exposed participants, comprising officials from various football clubs in the country, with football security and safety, marketing, role of media, health and doping in football. These help to enhance the quality and level of clubs and match management.
“I wish to congratulate clubs that have succeeded in obtaining the Asian Football Federation (AFC) Club Licensing and National Club Licensing which drives
football stakeholders to step up football quality in the national league but also the national team. For clubs that have not succeeded in acquiring licence this year, put more effort to acquire such licence next year. Subsidy will be given. The subsidy is to assist clubs to enhance the administration system, to meet the needs in national club and AFC club licensing,” he said.
Haji Abdul Razak urged National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) to assist these clubs to acquire licence and hoped that local clubs can compete in the AFC in the future.
