The paddlers are Awangku Abd Hakeem bin Pengiran Haji Md Noor, Awangku Abd Basheer bin Pengiran Haji Md Noor, Awangku Hilmanuddin bin Pengiran Haji Baharuddin, Muhd Khairul Hadif Ali Yusof, Hong Hui Qin, Lim Xing Yee, Fiona Hii Wee Ting and Audrey Dupanggal Kol.

The players are accompanied by team leader Md Mujiib Abdul Musauwir and coaches Abdul Jafni Fadhlillah bin Haji Jabidi and Ng Lim Di.

Abdul Jafni Fadhlillah said that the players went training in preparation for the tournament for a month where they focussed on mental and physical aspects of the game as well as fine-tuning their techniques.

The coach expressed his hopes for success adding that the majority of the players had only just represented the country.

“Hopefully (the newcomers) will get experience from the competition. There are also individuals who have already gained experience in international meets,” said the coach.

The event will be hosted by the Chinese Table Tennis Association, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sports Board and Baise Municipal People’s Government.
