Donations provide access to clean, healthy water

The Cuckoo International (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, through its Cuckoo Care Foundation, donated several water purifiers to a non-profit organisation, local mosques and educational institutions in the Brunei-Muara District as part of its long-term goal of providing communities in Brunei with easy access to clean and healthy water.

The Cuckoo Care Foundation donated a Fusion Top water purifier to non-profit organisation La Vida in an event at its Family Resource Centre in Kampong Lambak Kanan on October 23.

Cuckoo International (Brunei) Marketing Director Wong Hui Ting handed over the donation to La Vida Manager Dawn Lee.

The event began with opening remarks by a Cuckoo Care Foundation committee member, followed by a speech by the La Vida Manager.

The event concluded with a tour of the resource centre where Dawn Lee showcased La Vida’s facilities and activities. The Cuckoo Care Foundation also donated a Deluxe water purifier to Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Mosque on October 26.

Senior Branding and Public Relations Officer Abdul Aziz Ismail handed over the donation to the mosque’s Imam Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Jumat.

Another Deluxe water purifier was donated to the Sports School in Kampong Pulaie on November 22. Abdul Aziz Ismail handed over the donation to the school’s Principal Matthew Letham. On the same day, Learning Ladders Society also received a Deluxe water purifier from the Cuckoo Care Foundation. The society’s Vice President Dr Siti Nornasibah binti Haji Abdul Samad received the donation.

Meanwhile, Cuckoo International (Brunei) donated a Deluxe Water Purifier to Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque on November 29.

The mosque’s Imam Haji Jufri bin Haji Hidup received the donation.
