Curtains to Wow Ceria carnival raised

The ‘Wow Ceria Ria Mukim Seria’ carnival was well-received during its launch in the surrounding area of Pusat Insani in Seria yesterday.

Acting Belait District Officer Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad officiated the launch of the five-day event, organised by the Mukim Seria Consultative Council and Village Consultative Councils of Mukim Seria.

Vendors from across the nation are showcasing their products and services at the event. A host of activities have been lined up for visitors, including a blood donation drive, Silat performances and Beyblade tournament.

Representatives of various groups, associations and government department in the Belait District attended the launch.

Village Head of Kampong Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Haji Saidin bin Haji Ibrahim was pleased to note that the hard work of the Mukim Seria community had bore fruit with the successful start of the carnival.

“The carnival is a platform for entrepreneurs to do business, and for families to spend quality time together,” he said.

Abdol Hazis toured the stalls and mingled with vendors.

The carnival is open to the public from 10amto 10pm until December 22.
