Companies ordered to settle fines

Three local companies were ordered to settle fines by the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, after the directors pleaded guilty for failing to file the particulars of its income tax returns.

Chief Magistrate Pengiran Masni binti Pengiran Haji Bahar handed a fine of BND4,000 to Petrolux Sdn Bhd for failing to submit its income tax returns to the Income Tax Collector for the business years ending on December 31, 2013,2014, 2015 and 2016.

The Chief Magistrate also ordered Luban Sdn Bhd to settle a BND3,000 fine for failing to submit its income tax returns to the Income Tax Collector for the business years ending on December 31 in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

In another court, Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered SDG International (B) Sdn Bhd to settle a BND3,000 fine for failing to submit its income tax returns to the Income Tax Collector for the business years ending on December 31 in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Amiriah binti Haji Ali represented the Public Prosecutor in the cases.
