Brunei Darussalam pencak silat exponent Anisah Najihah binti Abdullah joined the country’s list of podium finishers after winning bronze in the women’s artistic singles in the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center yesterday.
Anisah Najihah tallied 451 points to move into the podium positions, behind gold medallist Indonesia’s Puspa Arum Sari and Philippines’ 16-year-old Marie Francine Padios who clinched silver.
The Brunei star carried the weight of the nation as she extended the sport’s consistent podium finish in the SEA Games since 2007.
Anisah, who warmed up for the biennial Games with a set of amazing finishes in the region, is recognised as one of the country’s talented pencak silat exponents.
