Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) hosted an appreciation night for teachers and educators involved in its Advocating Life-Long Learning for an Aspiring Future (ALAF) programme recently. The event was held at The Horizons Seafood Restaurant in the capital.
The event acknowledged the teachers’ efforts and support towards the BIBD ALAF programme, in ensuring the educational needs of primary, secondary and pre-university students under the programme are met.
BIBD Chief Marketing Officer Hajah Nurul Akmar binti Haji Mohd Jaafar was the guest of honour.
Ministry of Education (MoE), Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and BIBD officials also attended. The collaboration between BIBD, the MoE and MoRA has led to the development of several beneficial activities and initiatives for ALAF programme students.
Hajah Nurul Akmar said behind the successful ALAF student is a dedicated ALAF teacher.
“Alhamdulillah, we are immensely grateful for the support received from the MoE and MoRA towards our ALAF programme,” she said.
She added that with the teachers’ unwavering commitment, BIBD will continue to support the expansion of the ALAF programme and help the Brunei Government in realising the Brunei Vision 2035 goal of having its educated subjects recognised for their accomplishments.
