Al-Quran, Muqaddam teachers participate in Tajweed workshop

The Belait District Mosque Affairs Department conducted an Al-Quran and Muqaddam Teaching Workshop at RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque recently to ensure that Al-Quran and Muqaddam teachers in mosques always continue to polish their knowledge on Tajweed.

The workshop, conducted in collaboration with the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque Takmir Committee members, was participated by over 30 teachers from Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes from mosques and religious halls in the Belait District.

Mosque Affairs Officer and Chairman of the workshop Abdul Qayyuum bin Haji Aminnuddin noted that the workshop aimed to help ensure quality teaching is provided at mosques in the Belait District.

“We also hope that the teachers who participated in the workshop will make full use of their time to further polish their knowledge, ensuring that their students will also be able to fully understand the teachings,” he said.

Head of Imarah Section at the Mosque Affairs Department Haji Juflee bin Haji Mega was also present.

Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Haji Suhaili, the champion of the Southeast Asian Youth Al-Quran Reading Competition 2017, shared his expertise during the workshop.

He highlighted various rules of pronunciation of Arabic letters and demonstrated the proper pronunciation through practical exercises with the participants.
