The Al-Hikmah group from the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) was named champion of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Dikir Syarafil Anam competition for 1441Hijrah/2019.
Al-Muflihun group from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was named the runner-up, while third place was won by Asy-Syuja’ah group from the RBAF Special Forces Regiment.
The winning group took home the challenge trophy, BND300 and certificates of participation.
The competition, organised by the Religious Department RBAF (JAMA’AT), saw the participation of seven groups comprising the Ad-Difa’ group from the Ministry of Defence, Al-Amin group from the Royal Brunei Land Force, Al-Bahriyyah group from the Royal Brunei Navy, Al-Muflihun group from the RBAirF, Asy-Syuja’ah group from the RBAF Special Forces Regiment, Asy-Syuhada’ group from Defence Academy RBAF, and Al-Hikmah group from Training Institute RBAF.
RBAF Acting Commander Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat was the guest of honour at the competition at the Berakas Garrison.
The Ministry of Defence said the competition aimed to nurture religious interest among RBAF members in the field of Dikir Syarafil Anam and to spread the Syiar of Islam among RBAF members.
