300 sea scouts gather for 1st ASEAN Seaboree

Members of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) participated in the 1st ASEAN Seaboree organised by the Scouts Federation of Singapore at Sarimbun Campground from December 6-9. The Brunei participants comprised a scout leader and four young scout members from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School.

They were led by PPNBD contingent leader Muhammad Hamdanajib bin Haji Domeng who was also the SEA Scout Team Leader.

The five-day ASEAN Seaboree, themed ‘Sustainability, Education, Adventure’, gathered 300 sea scouts aged 12-17 from ASEAN member countries.

A variety of skills-based activities and challenges were conducted to challenge the physical and mental endurance of participants, especially water activities including Dragon Boat Racing, Sailing, Sea Scouts History, Kayaking and many more. The event also aimed to cultivate friendships, learn and experience Sea Scouts in a fun and exciting environment.

Scouts also earned some badges such as Puller Boat and Scuba Diver 1.
