Over 250 join hands for beach clean-up

The Public Service Department held its ‘Impact day‘ event by organising a beach clean-up at the Berakas Forest Reserve yesterday.

Over 250 participants participated in the event sounded off by Acting Deputy Director-General of the Public Service Department Hajah Noor Airah binti Haji Abdul Rahman.

Acting Director-General of Public Services Dr Norfarizal bin Othman said the main objective of the clean-up was to instil a sense of responsibility in all officers and staff towards contributing to the community and environment.

The event also aimed to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and for government officers to lead with example when it comes to creating a positive impact on the environment.
