BANGKOK (BERNAMA) – A 13-year-old boy shot dead a classmate after being bullied and insulted by his name-calling ‘lady-boy’ in a school in Bang Kraso of Muang District in Nonthaburi Province yesterday.
Chonlasit Boonchan, 13, was found lying in a pool of blood in front of his classroom in the incident at about 8.30am. He was shot in the forehead.
Rescue foundation, Siamnontaburi Foundation, said the young suspect was wearing a black mask and gloves when he shot Chonlasit.
It said the suspect fled the scene and went to the bathroom to change his school uniform. However, he was apprehended by teachers and students in the school.
The suspect told police he decided to attack Chonlasit because the latter had repeatedly slapped him and called him a toot (lady-boy).
He told police he stole his father’s pistol yesterday morning and shot Chonlasit when he was taking off his shoes to enter the classroom.
Police found a 7.65mm pistol in his shoulder bag.
He was later taken into custody.
However, police did not disclose what charges would be pressed against the suspect.
