The High Commission of India in Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with Gleneagles JPMC organised a free medical camp at its premises yesterday.

Sixteen doctors and six paramedics attended to 110 Indian nationals between 8.30-11.30am.

They conducted basic medical tests to check blood sugar, blood pressure and body mass index (BMI). Doctors/specialists advised the Indian nationals on the lifestyle modifications as well as further treatment based on their medical test results.

The event aimed to provide timely screening for participants so that they can be advised on common lifestyle diseases like blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, which, if left unchecked, could result in serious consequences including death.
