The first-ever ‘School of Paris and the Current European Artists’ Art Exhibition by Atelier Huifong Ng with GNK Malta Ltd and Archivio Vincenzo Balsamo in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2019 will be held at the Radisson Hotel from December 4-10.
The exhibition, supported by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, will feature 20 artworks from the School of Paris and the Current European Artists including from Modigliani, Jeanne Hebuterne, Giorgio Morandi, Giacomo Balla, Jules Pascin, Rene Gilles and Vincenzo Balsamo.
“This is a first of its kind and a rare opportunity for local and aspiring artists to learn, explore and expose to the works of influential art masters,” Ng Huifong, the founder of Atelier Huifong Ng, said during a press conference on Monday.
The exhibition aims to promote Brunei as an art and culture destination.
Art tours in Malay, English and Mandarin languages and a talk with guests from Italy will also be organised at the exhibition.
“Atelier Huifong Ng, established in 2017, is a centre of Excellence in Fine Art learning for children aged between six and 17, aiming to develop and harness a child’s fine art talent and propel them to be skilful, diligent, confident and creative characteristics that empower early learning and creative expression,” Ng Huifong added.
