344 students complete ‘One Week, One Juzuk’ programme

A total of 344 students participated in the ‘One Week, One Juzuk’ (1M1J) programme at Pusat Insani in Seria recently.

The ceremony saw 159 male students and 185 female students from 18 religious schools in the Belait District partaking in the Khatam Al-Quran, to complete the recitation of 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran.

Assistant Director (Corporate Services) at the Islamic Studies Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Ustaz Haji Rusli bin Haji Mohd Salleh and his wife were the guests of honour.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour. It continued with the Khatam Al-Quran, which began with the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Doa.

The students recited verses of Al-Quran, starting from Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah Al-Masad led by Khatam participant Muhammad Zidan Asyfaq bin Harun Sholeh.

Female religious teachers from the Belait District read the Takhtim, before Khatam participant Muhammad Fadhil Danial bin Fariz Surnaidi led the Doa Khatam.

To commemorate the students’ achievement, a Dikir Marhaban performance was conducted by male religious teachers, followed by the sprinkling of scented oil on the participating students.

Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Religious School teachers Sharil Fauzi bin Rosly recited the Doa Selamat and Selawat Tafrijiyyah to conclude the event.
