Two nabbed for smuggling

Officers of the Company ‘C’ Reserve Unit of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) detained two locals for contraband smuggling attempt into the country through a mouse trail at a paddy farm in Kampong Bebuloh, Limau Manis.

The two suspects, Mohd Sabree bin Abdullah Tubah, 57, and Mohd Faizal bin Jamal, 31, brought in 27 bottles of  liquor and seven cartons of cigarettes. The smuggled items were found in the suspect’s car. The suspects and contraband were brought to Limau Manis Police Station for investigation.  The case is investigated by the Customs and Excise Department.

The RBPF urged the public to channel any information on criminal activities to the police through 993 or at any nearby police station.
