Sultan sends congratulatory messages to China

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of congratulations to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Le Keqiang on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

In the message to the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Majesty expressed his appreciation in meeting the president during the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and exchanging views on how to develop the strategic cooperative partnership, exploring new areas of collaboration and building on synergies between the Belt and Road Initiative and Brunei Vision 2035.

Furthermore, His Majesty expressed that Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China shared a historical friendship and close cooperation in many areas of common interest, and looked forward to continuing their work together to strengthen these much-valued ties for the mutual benefit of both countries and its people.

In a similar congratulatory message to Li Keqiang, His Majesty expressed his great satisfaction for the warm and long-standing friendship, as well as wide ranging cooperation which have brought much goodwill and many practical benefits to both countries, and was confident that the strategic cooperative partnership will further expand in the future, and looked forward to continuing working with the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China in enhancing the bilateral and regional ties.

In ending the messages, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and best wishes and continued good health and happiness to President Xi Jinping and Premier Le Keqiang as well as for the continued prosperity of the people of the People’s Republic of China.
