Md Firafadzil Adini bin Haji Abdul Ghani inspired 10-man Ministry of Education (MoE) to a 4-1 win over Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) with a brace in the Piala Keputeraan 2019 at the Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.
Ministry of Education temporarily occupied the final qualification berth in Group ‘B’ after playing an earlier kick-off than their qualification rivals Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA).
MoHA slipped to third before their match against Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry (MEMI) last night at the Berakas Sports Complex but could swap sides with victory.
Md Firafadzil Adini found the net in either side of the half after Md Afif Hadi bin Roshidi had earlier given MTIC the lead in the 21st minute.
MoE were reduced to 10 men after Ampuan Mohammad Abd Aziz bin Ampuan Haji Abdul Kahar was given his marching orders.
Goals from Noor Raimi @ Syahremy bin Karim and Pengiran Zulkarnain bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad added gloss to the win.
MTIC created decent chances in the final minutes of the match through Ali bin Haji Momin and Mohd Shahril bin Bakri.
Meanwhile, Group ‘B’ leaders Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) were held to a 2-2 draw by the Ministry of Health (MoH) last Saturday night.
Mohd Asri bin Haji Aspar bagged a first-half brace for MoRA but a second-half brace from Haji Edi Ruslan bin Haji A Samad rescued a point for MoH, who are eliminated from the competition.
