Malaysian delegation visits school

A delegation from the State Education Department of Melaka visited Rimba Secondary School (SMR) yesterday.

Head of Assistant Senior Director Md Aziz bin Lani led the Malaysian delegation comprising officers and teachers from the State Education Department of Melaka.

Also present during the visit were senior education officer from the Department of Schools and officers from the Special Education Unit at the Ministry of Education.

The delegation was welcomed by Principal of SMR Haji Malai Shah Eran bin Syed Haji Yussof Al-Idrus and members of the school’s administration.

The Malaysian delegation was briefed on the school’s profile and educational programmes by Nur Israk bin Othman and Dayangku Nurhafizah binti Pengiran Haji Ramlee, members of the Students’ Council.

Head of Learning Support Teacher Dayangku Mardiana binti Pengiran Maidin delivered a briefing on the Pre-Vocational Programme and support given to students with special needs in mainstream class.

The school’s principal took the delegation on a tour of the school to have a closer look of the facilities and observe a cooking demonstration by SINAR students from the Pre-Vocational Programme. The Malaysian delegates demonstrated cup stacker activities with teachers and students.
