A Malaysian man is alleged to have smuggled meth into the country while also carrying paraphernalia to consume the class A drugs.

Chief Justice Dato Seri Paduka Steven Chong, sitting in the High Court yesterday, heard the allegations from Deputy Public Prosecutor Aisyah Lakim against Vincent Soh. The defendant, who has hired lawyer Daud Ismail, is facing a charge of importing 34.12 grammes of methylamphetamine and possession of a glass tube with rubber tubing for consuming the drug at 8.40pm on February 21, 2017 at Ujong Jalan Control Post from Limbang, Malaysia.

The Chief Justice then heard the defendant claim innocence towards the charges and adjourned the case to November 4, 2019 for a pre-trial conference.
