The Mosque Affairs Department through the Library Division in collaboration with members of the Mosque Committee of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong and Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop held extra classes for students who will sit for their Religious Education Primary Schools Certificate (SSSRU) Examination.

The purpose of the additional classes was to guide students with quick and accurate study guidelines and techniques.

The programme also intended to help them understand and practise effective learning techniques, giving parents and guardians confidence in the extensive role of the mosque while at the same time to take blessings for gaining knowledge through the mosque.

The extra classes’ instructors were former graduates of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB).

The students comprised those who met the criteria for entry into extra classes. Ten students took the extra class from each mosque.

The students revised and understood the subjects they are weak in. They were also taught on the techniques of answering exam questions and analysing the previous year’s exam questions.

They also learnt on how to prepare physically and psychologically before, during and after the exam.
