A total of 112 pints of blood were collected in the blood drive dubbed ‘Be a Hero, Save Lives’ at the Kuala Belait Convention Hall yesterday.

The event – organised by the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board, in cooperation with the Blood Donation Centre of the Department of Laboratory Services, Ministry of Health – was held as part of the ‘Ceriakan KBku’ programme.

The blood drive helped to increase reserves at the blood centre, and at the same time, raised awareness on the importance of donating blood to save lives.

Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board Chairman Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad was among the many blood donors at the event.
