Brunei teacher receives Princess Maha Chakri Award

Headmistress of Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School Hajah Noorliah binti Haji Aspar received the Princess Maha Chakri Award in recognition for her professional work in mentoring yesterday.

She received the award from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during the 3rd Princess Maha Chakri Award Ceremony at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

Hajah Noorliah is a passionate and dedicated teacher, having been in the education sector for 32 years.

Aside from being a headmistress, Hajah Noorliah has worked in various capacities including mentoring and coaching other teachers to deliver expected outcomes for effective teaching and learning.

In 2018, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam bestowed her with The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei.

The Princess Maha Chakri Award is a tribute for teachers’ contributions and outstanding achievements.

Acting Director-General of Education at the Ministry of Education Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkiflee was also present at the ceremony.
