The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Centre of Studies and Dissemination of Al-Quran (MABIMS) will conduct the second series of the three-day Tarannum Al-Quran course from today until Thursday at the Sepakat 4 Room of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas.
There will be two sessions – the morning session from 8am to noon and the afternoon session from 2pm until 4.30pm.
The course participants are the Qari and Qariah who will participate in the National Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran for Adults organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) or those who have never participated in the competition as well as participants who are listed by the MABIMS and Islamic Syiar Development Division.
Also expected to take part are religious teachers from the Islamic Studies Department and religious teachers who have the basic knowledge in Tarannum Al-Quran.
The course aims to generate skilled, disciplined and reliable Qari and Qariah, and to disseminate knowledge of the Tarannum Al-Quran.
The event is held to uphold the desire of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office to bring in more Al-Quran experts for the national Qari and Qariah participants to learn from. The Tarannum course this year will implement the introduction of Tarannum Al-Quran ala-Sheikh Mustafa Ismail.
