The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a special religious talk to mark the new Islamic year of 1441 Hijrah at the Police Headquarters Auditorium in Jalan Tungku, Gadong on Thursday.
The event was coordinated by the Islamic Religious Body of the RBPF. Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was the guest of honour.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jefri bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Hamid, directors, deputy directors, commanding officers, heads of formation, officers and RBPF staff were also present.
The talk titled ‘Bekerja Mencari Rezeki Dengan Redha Allah’ touched on the event of Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in gaining Halal earning and blessings from Allah the Almighty for our daily life.
It was delivered by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Jofri bin Haji Hidop. The gathering concluded with a Doa Selamat by Imam of Police Headquarters Surau.
Meanwhile, Campuses of Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Central also held a religious ceremony in conjunction with the new Islamic year of 1441 Hijrah at the Lecture Threatre of IBTE Mechanical Campus on Wednesday.
Some 140 first year of IBTE Central students attended.
Operations Manager of IBTESultan Saiful Rijal Campus Aminurrashid bin Haji Ibrahim as the representative of Principal of IBTE Centre was the guest of honour. Senior officers, teaching staff and personnel of IBTE Central were also present.
A religious talk was delivered by Muhammad Naqib bin Haji Awang from Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The objectives of the ceremony were to disseminate the knowledge of migration and struggles of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in propagating Islam. It also provided knowledge for the students on the history of Islam and fostered ties among the attendees.
