Tahlil ceremony marks 26th Civil Service Day

The Public Service Department (JPA) held a Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum at Batu Satu in Jalan Tutong yesterday in conjunction with the 26th Civil Service Day celebration.

The ceremony was also held to pay respects to Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Present at the annual ceremony were Co-Chairmen of the 26th Civil Service Day celebration Executive Committee, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.

The recitation of Tahlil was led by Mosque Affairs Officer Ahmad Syafiq bin Haji Osman.

Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officials and government staff were also present.
