Our school, St Margaret’s, conducted a much awaited ceremony to honour the achievements of the students who excelled in internal and external academic performance as well as to award the ‘Best Achievement’ students for their effort in the BC-GCE ‘O’ Level, SPE and PSR examinations on April 13.
The event was held at the Multi-purpose Hall and the function started at 9am. The event started with the singing of the national anthem followed by the school song and an inspiring and motivational speeches by Principal Liew Yong Kim and guest of honour, member of the school’s Board of Governors Dona Bernadine Patrick.
‘The Best Academic Awards’ were presented by Liew Yong Kim and he accorded 47 awards to students from Year 1 to Year 10. The guest of honour presented the ‘All-rounder’ awards and the ‘Best Achievement Awards’. She also bestowed 65 ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ on students from Kindergarten 3 to Year 10 as well as to the graduates of 2018 batch.
