Ten students from the School of Engineering, Institute of Technical Education College Central (ITE CC) in Singapore visited the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Satellite Campus as part of an educational visit to Brunei recently. Led by ITE lecturer Roslan bin Hashim, the students on arrival to the IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus (SBC) in Seria were welcomed by Operations Manager Azman bin Haji Wahid.

They were briefed on various topics related to IBTE by Mechanical Engineering Programme Leader Nurul Azyan binti Jamal.

The Singapore students toured the facilities across the IBTE Satellite Campus and also participated in specialised classes at each of the faculties.

Apart from areas of interest which included Western Food Packaging, the Agis-Agis Water Treatment Plant and Sehat Bottling Plant, the students were also taken on sightseeing tours of the Belait and Brunei-Muara districts, allowing them to learn more about the country’s history and heritage.

The visit provided the students a closer approach on programmes offered at IBTE, especially in the field of engineering.

It also offered an opportunity to further strengthen the ties between both campuses, while exchanging knowledge and views among the teaching staff and students involved.
