Sharpening students’ Arabic Language skills

The Co-curriculum Division of the Islamic Studies Department organised the Hayya Bil ‘Arabiah programme for students of Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) to further enhance the Arabic Language skills among students in Arabic school.

Acting Deputy Director (Professional) of the Islamic Studies Department Ustazah Hajah Hamdiah binti Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat followed by a video presentation on the Hayya Bil ‘Arabiyyah programme and the singing of the slogan song by the students. It continued with a stage performance on Lughah Ibnu Faris.

The highlight of the event was the prize presentation to winners of the Arabic video competition held prior to the event.

The programme was aimed to enhance the use of Arabic Language among the students in terms of reading, listening, speaking, writing and stimulating their creativity in planning and organising activities suitable with their learning.

It also enhanced a healthy competition among the students and exposed them to knowledge and information through the use of Arabic Language.
