The week-long event saw students and teachers participating in activities including storytelling workshops run by a visiting storyteller, Mister Storyfella. He shared stories and his top tips for storytelling, inspiring the imaginations of students. Students also dressed as their favourite book characters to celebrate and explore the joy of books and reading during the Dress Up Day.

The school also held a short story-writing competition during the celebration. The visiting storyteller read the entries and chose Year 8 student Ella Carpenter as the overall winner.

The event aimed to encourage and inspire a love of reading as it can help improve student’s performance across different subject areas.
