Register with IET to gain benefits

Some 58 participants with technical background from the government and private sectors attended the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Brunei Local Network (LN)’s Membership Talk yesterday, aimed at sharing better career prospects and opportunities for development.

During the talk held at I-Lotus Restaurant in Kampong Rimba, International Professional Registration Advisor (IPRA) for IET Brunei LN Lim Sam Lee gave a presentation on the benefit of joining the professional organisation and the route to apply for IET Chartered Engineer (CEng) and also demonstrated on how and where to register as an IET member on the official website.

By registering as a member of this professional organisation, one will then be listed on the Engineering Council Register of Professional Registration, giving the individual the recognition as a professional in their respective field; broader knowledge and understanding; and lastly will also improve self motivation, career opportunities, marketability, and salary prospects.

IET Brunei LN was founded in 1997 with a vision of sharing and advancing knowledge throughout the global science, engineering and technology (SET) community contributing towards national development. The IET is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community, with more than 168,000 members in 150 countries and offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
