Recyclable bags distribution promotes plastic-free environment

The Ministry of Development through its Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) distributed recyclable bags to customers of several shops in the Brunei-Muara District along with several Legislative Council (LegCo) members as part of the ongoing drive to promote awareness and make Brunei plastic-free.

Deputy Minister of Development Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin led the distribution of recyclable bags in Kampong Lambak.

LegCo members Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman in her capacity as the Head of Legislative Council member delegation, along with Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development (MoD) Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak and Acting Director of Environment, Parks and Recreation Martinah binti Haji Tamit were present.

Meanwhile, in the Kilanas area, the delegation was led by Acting Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the MoD Hajah Siti Aidah binti Haji Mohammad, along with LegCo members and senior officers of JASTRe.

In the Rimba area, the delegation included LegCo members and senior officers of JASTRe.
