Prison officer Muhammad Uzaini bin Haji Suhaili is attending the Cooperation Technical Programme organised and sponsored by the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) in Malaysia.

The Cooperation Technical Programme is held from September 17-25 at Royal Chulan, Malaysia.

Muhammad Uzaini was given permission by the Ministry of Home Affairs to attend the programme.

The Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism in Malaysia trains and builds capacity for enforcement and security government officers in the region.

SEARCCT also encourages perspective on the most effective approaches in counter-terrorism and this include looking for definition of terrorism that is recognised globally, research on the causes of terrorism, comprehensive ways of counter-terrorism rather than merely depending on the military solution, and winning the hearts and minds in a long-term combat against international terrorism.
