Pre-dawn talk highlights Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) role as teacher, mentor

The transformative role of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a teacher and mentor was highlighted in yesterday’s pre-dawn talk titled Rasulullah Guru Tauladan Sepanjang Zaman at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

The talk was delivered by Da’ie at the Islamic Dakwah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dr Andas Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah.

He said, “We need to emulate the Prophet’s (pbuh) sincerity in teaching and guiding people out of devotion to Allah the Almighty.

“The Prophet’s qualities are required of us as teachers, so that we may obtain the mercy and blessings of Allah the Almighty in educating someone to be a better person.” Present were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussofand Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA.

A delegation from the Indonesian Islamic Da’wah Council (DDII) of the Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia which is currently visiting Brunei Darussalam also participated.

The pre-dawn talk is part of the weekly Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat programme which allows the participants of Bandarku Ceria to start their day in spiritual reflection and the recitation of Zikir.
