The Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Department of Panaga Primary School yesterday held a hiking activity at the Sungai Liang Recreational Park, themed Hiking Menuju Kesihatan.

The participants comprised teachers, support staff and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) members from the Panaga Primary School; eight representatives from the Panaga Religious School; and 21 representatives from the Anthony Abell College (AAC) in Seria, who were led by Panaga Primary School Headmistress Rabizah binti Haji Ibrahim.

Also present were a volunteer committee from the Forestry Department, and the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel from the surrounding area of Sungai Liang, who lent their aid and expertise in ensuring the safety of the group at the recreational park.

Following a quick warm-up, the hikers took to the trail winding around the park, which gave them an experience of nature’s pristine beauty along the route.

The hiking activity is part of a project conducted by the HSSE Department of Panaga Primary School, which strives to promote a healthy lifestyle among its staff as well as those from other schools.
