Overnight camp instils confidence, discipline in students

Sunshine School organised back to back school holiday activities for their Year 1 to Year 6 pupils recently.

Among the activities was the Readers’ Theatre which was participated by 50 members of the school’s Book Club. It was aimed to build children’s confidence through storytelling, music, games and dramatic reading. Tongue twisters and other fun games were also held.

The other main event was the overnight camp organised by the school’s Scout Group led by a school teacher Maswati @ Insyirah binti Haji Sabtu. The pupils took part in pitching tents, games, cooking and other activities. The camp taught them to learn independence, confidence and discipline.

“I enjoyed everything I did in this overnight camp. Being with my school friends and away from my family are totally a different experience,” a scout leader Muhd Qawiem Aiman bin Adinuriman recalled.

Principal of Sunshine School Tan Lay Kim presented the prizes and certificates.
