The Library Open Day of the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Library of Kampong Pandan held at its premises last weekend saw a host of fun-packed activities.

The event which began last Saturday encouraged residents to visit and avail of the services and activities at the library, as the school holiday came to an end.

“We invited various groups, associations and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the open day. It served to enliven the two-day event,” said Library Assistant Zaiton binti Haji Nappy from the DBP Library of Kampong Pandan.

She added that the Open Day event, the first of its kind being conducted at the library, helped further encourage the public to visit the library and to make full use of the facilities.

“We hope to conduct similar events in the near future to not only showcase the facilities available here that people may not know about, but also to inspire other groups and associations to collaborate in helping to create a fun and conducive atmosphere for all to enjoy,” she said.
