Nanjing delegation in Brunei to boost Wushu ties

A nine-member delegation from Nanjing Sports Bureau from Nanjing, the capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu province, the People Republic of China is currently in Brunei Darussalam to foster closer ties and cooperation in the field of Wushu.

The delegation led by Deputy Inspector of Nanjing Sports Bureau Liu Junlin with Director of the General Office of Nanjing Sports Bureau Zhao Bing met officials from the Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports yesterday.

Also from Nanjing were Researcher of Gaochun District Culture and Tourism Bureau Wang Xiaolei, Deputy Chief Section Member from the General Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government Li Haofeng and Interpreter from Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government Tang Qin.

The Chinese delegation was accompanied by the President of Brunei Darussalam Wushu Federation Lim Boon Hwa.

The delegation observed the training of national Wushu athletes led by National Coach Li Hui and Coach Zhao Chun Jie at the Menglait Sports Complex.

Students from Gaochun Experimental Primary School – Tang Jingyun, Xia Yuchen, Qian Aoyun and Kong Beilei demonstrated their Wushu skills for Liu and Lim. Coach Li gave a few pointers to the students during the exchange.

Brunei Darussalam Wushu Federation and Nanjing Sports Bureau will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to boost cooperation in Wushu exchange between both countries.
